Middle Schools and Sub Schools

It makes good sense to group Years 7 to 9 students in the same school because:

• it makes it easier for students and teachers to work together
• students in these years have similar interests and needs
• it will give students more opportunities to learn specialist subjects and access specialist facilities.

Students will generally have a group of teachers that just teach Middle Years students. This means teachers can pay more attention to each student and develop programs to suit their interests.

Which school?

Most students will go to the middle school closest to their home. Students can apply to enrol in a school outside their local area, however those schools can only enrol students from outside their local area if there is enough room.
